Beulah Ann “Boots” Roper, 85, of Oxford, KS, passed away Monday, November 13, 2023 at her home.
Memorial services will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, November 20, 2023 at the Oxford Funeral Service. Burial will take place at the Leon Cemetery at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to The American Cancer Society, donations may be left in the care of the funeral home.
Beulah was born December 30, 1937 in Columbus, KS to parents John and Cleta (Rowden) Roper. She attended high school in New York City and later moved to El Dorado, KS. She was united in marriage to the love of her life Charles “Gene” Sanders. Beulah enjoyed cooking at several nursing homes, the Red Coach Inn, and the Daylight Doughnuts in El Dorado, going out to eat and getting margaritas. She loved anything that involved her family, especially her grandchildren, who she lovingly nicknamed “The Divas”, “The Demon”, and “Bug.”
She is survived by her sons Nicky Sanders of Wichita, and Gene Sanders of Fowler, CO; grandchildren GaraLee Haskins (Ron) of Oxford, Beulah Fisk (Jim) of San Antonio, Cleta Andrews of Rose Hill, Nikki Campbell of Wichita, James Meyers of El Dorado, and Joseph Meyers of Kansas City, 26 great-grandchildren, 23 great-great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-great grandchild, and sister Helen Murphy (Howard) of New York.
She is preceded in death by her husband, and children Cleta Swisher and Joreta Gregoire.
