Hazel Cecelia Seamans Obituary

Hazel Cecelia Seamans 1942-2018 Hazel was born in Pensacola, FL on Feb. 8, 1942 and passed away March 4, 2018. She lived most of her life in Pensacola. Hazel was a talented Artist. She used those skills during her successful career as a hairstylist, retiring at age 70. In her spare time Hazel enjoyed reading and movie outings. In her younger years she enjoyed the waters of Pensacola by swimming, snorkeling and diving. She is preceded in death by her mother, Angell Domas Vickery; father, James R. Seamans; brother, Jim Seamans; and step-father, Edward Vickery. Hazel is survived by her sister-in-law, Joan Seamans; step-sister, Shirley (John) Pope; step-brother, Larry (Ellen) Vickery; and numerous loving cousins, nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Hazel’s Life will be held at a later date. To honor Hazel’s memory, she requested, in lieu of flowers memorials be made to The American Cancer Society. The family would like to express a special thank you to Elaine Parrish and Barbara Lowery for their friendship and care during Hazel’s last months and to the nurses and health care workers at the Haven of Our Lady of Peace and Covenant Hospice for the excellent care they provided.
