Mrs. Patricia Ruth Patti Ost Frieda, 56, formerly of Hagerstown, MD, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on February 3, 2018 in her home in Sarasota, Florida. It was a sudden and unexpected death, as she died in her sleep. Born January 25, 1962 in Cumberland, MD, she was the daughter of the late Major Roland E. Ost, Jr., USAF Retired and Judith A. (Johnson) Ost, Chambersburg, PA. A passion led communications and political science major; Patricia excelled as a collegiate debate champion and nominated Truman Scholar. Battling the adversity of a crippling spinal fusion, she powered her way to become Americas National Collegiate Body Building Champion, She received her B.S. Degree from Shepherd University in 1998. On October 31, 2011, she graduated from Mountain State University with a Master of Science Degree in Strategic Leadership. Patti also enjoyed playing the flute, fishing and a challenging game of Skip-Bo. She was a loving mother and devoted wife - joined before Christ in marriage February 24, 2003. In addition to her mother, Judith A. (Johnson) Ost, Chambersburg, PA, Patti is survived by her husband Melvin K. Frieda and son, Daniel R. Bieber, Sarasota, FL, a granddaughter, Sienna Bieber; brothers: Fred R. Ost and his wife, Lois of Cary, NC and David M. Ost and his wife, Michelle of Chambersburg, PA, and a number of nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at Chambers Pointe Chapel, 1425 Philadelphia Ave. Chambersburg, PA on Saturday, March 3, 2018 at 11:00 A.M., with Chaplain Steve Barnett officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the service. Burial will be at 3:00 P.M. in Green Hill Cemetery, Waynesboro, PA.
