MSgt Calvin "Ross" Pickett

MSgt Calvin “Ross” Pickett (Retired), 83, of Hattiesburg passed away on February 20, 2018 at his home. Services will be Thursday, February 22, 2018 at 1:30 p.m. at Moore Funeral Home in Hattiesburg, followed by burial in Highland Cemetery. Mr. Pickett served in the United States Air Force for twenty one years. After retiring from the Air Force he worked as Fire Chief and Chief of Security at Camp Shelby for and additional twenty one years. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, and uncle. He was well respected in his community. He is preceded in death by his parents, Troy and Ethel Pickett; his wife, Pat Pickett; a son, Billy Joe Pickett; eight brothers, Earl, Quitman, Leroy, Warren, Vernon, Richard, Ramon, and Billy; and one sister, Joyce. He is survived by his three sons, Darrell (Gigi) Pickett of Petal, Warren (Lorri) Pickett of Midway, and Kenny (Debra) Pickett of Midway; his daughter, Connie Pickett of Centerton, ARK.; nine grandchildren, Ginger McLemore, Pepper Lower, Cody Larche, Daryl Jensen, Carolyn Walters, Mindy Pickett, Warren Pickett, Jr., Coleman Pickett, and Gabriel Pickett; seven great grandchildren, Colt, Hunter, Patrick, Halla, Addison, Philip, and Leland; one sister, Linda Garner of New Augusta; and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Wednesday, February 21, 2018 at Moore Funeral Home in Hattiesburg from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m.
