Joe Machado Ramos, age 88 passed away in Santa Rosa on February 3, 2018 He was born in St Jorge Azores September 23, 1929, a son of Jose and Maria Ramos. He is survived by his wife Marjorie, daughter Mary (Mario) Medeiros and grandson Justin, his brother Antonio Machado Ramos of Terceira Azores and sister Maria Helena Enes of Petaluma and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two sisters Maria Carolina Azevedo Pennington and Maria Conceicao Brasil. Joe loved his animals and gardening. He was a director of the Petaluma Holy Ghost Society and a member of numerous Holy Ghost Societies, Senhor Santo Cristo Society, and Lusitania Band of the North Bay. A visitation will be held on Thursday February 8th from 3 to 7 pm, followed by the rosary at 7 pm at Daniels Chapel of the Roses 1225 Sonoma Ave., Santa Rosa. A funeral mass will be held at 10:30am on Friday February 9th at St. Josephs Catholic Church 150 St. Josephs Way, Cotati. Burial will follow at Calvary Catholic Cemetery, Santa Rosa.
