Carol A. Bradford Obituary

Carol A. Bradford, 63, passed from this life at home on Friday, Jan. 26, 2018, in Soldotna. She had some health issues, but things were finally starting to look up when Carol was taken without warning. Fortunately, Carol made it her aim in life to know and do the Will of the Lord. Memorial services will be 1 p.m. Friday, Feb. 16, at Peninsula Memorial Chapel, 35910 Jawle St., behind Big John’s. She was born in Dedham, Massachusetts on Mar. 28, 1954. From nursing school in Boston (yes, her Boston accent was unmistakable) in 1972 to the US Army, 1974-1980, and the Army Reserves through 1994, Carol was quick to help others and make a difference for good in the lives of others. Besides the military service, Carol stayed busy helping others through her work in the O.R. in Salinas, Calif. Carol and her family moved to the Peninsula in 2003 to help take care of aging family members and thoroughly enjoyed the Alaska Life. In Soldotna, Carol continued to use her nursing skills helping patients back to health in working with Peninsula Internal Medicine. She is noted as going above and beyond “the call of duty” in helping others and in doing the best job possible. She was also an active member of Beta Sigma Phi. In 1998, Carol and hubby David, welcomed Shannon into the world. Carol is survived by her husband, David Bradford, of Soldotna, and daughter, Shannon Bradford of Soldotna. She was a faithful and active member of the Funny River Road Church of Christ in Soldotna since 2003. She brought joy and smiles everywhere she went with her Boston accent and her dead-pan humor. We thank God for blessing us with the time we had with Carol! Arrangements were by Peninsula Memorial Chapel.
