Mr. Michael W. Hogan, age 57, passed away on Saturday, February 3, 2018. He was born on June 9, 1960 in Bay City. Mike was a graduate of Bay City Central High School Class of 1978. He was a valued and dedicated employee of IBM. Mike was a loving husband and father that never said no. He was a hard worker and made all of his dreams come true. Mike was known as a kind and generous soul with a humorous side that made him quite the jokester. He was a sports fan, especially U of M football. Mike was a creative cook and liked to shop. He was also an outdoorsman that liked boating, fishing, camping and bon-fires, but most of all enjoyed time spent with his family. On July 12, 1986 Mike married the former Joani E. Miszkiewicz and she survives his passing along with their daughter, Ashley (Josh Schmidt) Hogan; his beloved grandson, Westley Schmidt; his mother, Elaine Hogan of Bay City; two sisters, Kellie (Eddie) Montalvo of California and Karen Mika of Bay City; his brother, Patrick Hogan of Bay City; and his nieces and nephews, Anthony, Landon, Chandler and Benjamin Montalvo, Alexa and Hailee Mika and Katelyn, Elyse and Mackenzie Hogan. Mike was preceded in death by his father, James Hogan; father-in-law, Donald Miszkiewicz; his mother-in-law, Margie (Starkweather) Micsak; and a brother-in-law, Mark Mika. A Memorial Service will take place at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, February 9, 2018 at the Trahan Funeral Chapel. Officiating will be Mary Ann Helie and Sr. Jane Przygocki. In lieu of donations, Mike’s wish would be for people to please “Pay It Forward”, and do something kind for someone who needs help, encouragement, or a little bit of extra support.
