Eleanor F. Houck, 97, formerly of Lebanon and West Grove, died Saturday, February 3, 2018 at StoneRidge Poplar Run, Myerstown. She was married for 67 years to Clayton C. Houck, who died April 11, 2010. Born in Harrisburg on December 11, 1920, she was the daughter of the late John W. Garrett and Caroline B. (Forry) Garrett Albert. Eleanor was a 1938 graduate of New Cumberland High School, also graduating in 1941 from the University of Pennsylvania as a Registered Nurse. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Lebanon, and was employed for 50 years as a clerk with the U.S. Postal Service. Eleanor is survived by a daughter, Christine, wife of James McClellan, of Lebanon; a son, Lawrence, husband of Kay Houck, of Myerstown; granddaughters, Tara Bongo, Kristen Hunt, Erin McClellan, Lorin Seaman, and Melissa Reginato; a grandson, James McClellan, Jr.; and nine great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held Friday, February 9, 2018 at 11 a.m. at The Mill at Lancaster Evangelical Free Church, 813 Rothsville Rd., Lititz. Inurnment will be at the convenience of the family at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville.
