Woodrow M. Fannin 1943 – 2018 Woodrow M. “Woody” Fannin, 74 of Rush, KY passed away Saturday, February 3, 2018 at Kings Daughters Medical Center, his loving family at his side. Mr. Fannin was born February 5, 1943 in Louisa, KY to the late Drew and Sophia Coffee Fannin. Woody attended Louisa High School and retired in 1998 from Laborer’s Local 1445. He was a member of Blue Ribbon Fox Hunters and Trace Wesleyan Church. He enjoyed hunting, riding four wheelers and spending time with his grandkids. His pride and joy were his two grandchildren Karley Nicole Doolin and Bryce Andrew Doolin. Woody is survived by his adoring wife of 48 years Karen Sue Smith Fannin, their daughter Pamela Nicole Doolin and her husband Chris of Ashland, two precious grandchildren Karley Doolin and Bryce Doolin. Additional survivors include sisters Glenda Johnson of Ashland, and Drewetta Layne (Jessie) of Ashland, brother-in-law Dave Compton of Louisa, sister-in-law Paula Fannin of Ashland, and a host of nieces and nephews. Preceding in death were his parents, brother and best Paul Fannin, sisters Gearldine Compton and Lola Maxine Fannin who died at birth, and brother-in-law Denver Johnson. Funeral Services to honor Mr. Fannin will be at 11:00am Thursday, February 8, 2018 at Kilgore & Collier Funeral Home, 2702 Panola Street, Catlettsburg. Pastor Walter Wilcox will officiate. Final resting place in Hall Cemetery. Visiting hours will be from 6:00pm until 8:00pm Wednesday evening at the Funeral Home. Condolences may be left at: kilgorecollierfuneralhome.com.
