Wayne W. “Bud” Lawler, a resident of Cissna Park, formerly of Plainfield, passed away on February 3, 2018 in Joliet, IL at the age of 77. He was born June 26, 1940 in Grafton, WV. Bud is survived by his wife of 29 years Grace Lawler nee Frazier; children Douglas (Kristin) Lawler, Katrina (Ralph) Schwab, James (Holly) Lawler, Julie (Robert) Dyer, and Waynette Holmes; grandfather of 19; great grandfather of 9; his sister Loretta (the late Bernard) Martin; numerous nieces and nephews; close friends Jami, John, and Shiela. He is preceded in death by his parents Pauline and Leland Lawler; brother Leland “Lee” Lawler; grandson Steven Higgins. Bud spent the majority of his career as a dedicated employee of Kerr/Ball Glass where he worked for many years. He also was a police officer for the Shorewood Police Department. Bud was an avid Chicago sports fan, especially the Cubs, who was loved by many and will be dearly missed.
