Alexandra Jackson, a longtime resident of Abingdon, died Saturday, February 2 at Harford Memorial Hospital. She was 85. Born in Bialystok, Poland she was the daughter of the late Alexander and Larissa Batanow and wife of the late Cpt. Norman M. Jackson who died in 1983 A home maker, she was a lover of cats and enjoyed doing crafts. She is survived by her cousin and two great nieces all of Poland. And special gratitude to her neighbors, Vivian Hinkle and David Sands and close friend Jane Grigoleit, who assisted Mrs. Jackson when she needed help. A Graveside service will be held on Friday, February 9 at 1:00pm at St. Pauls’ Lutheran Cemetery.
