Theresa S. Edwards

Theresa Santacroce Edwards, 98, of East Haven, passed away February 3, 2018 in Connecticut Hospice. She was the wife of the late Ishmal T. Edwards. Theresa was born in the Wooster Street area of New Haven on January 24, 1920, a daughter of the late Antonio and Mary Santacroce. She is the mother of her devoted daughters, Beverly Edwards, Lorraine (Egidio) Severini, and Barbara (Alfred) South. Loving grandmother of Karen (John) South Gustafson, Jennifer South, and Dana Severini Hill. Great grandmother of Maxwell Dean Gustafson and Silas Edward Hill. Sister of Millie Cassella, JuJu Criscuolo, Anthony (Polly) Santacroce, and the late Alphonse and Frank Santacroce. Sister-in-law of Sadie and Vera Santacroce. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Visiting hours will be held in the Iovanne Funeral Home Inc. 11 Wooster Place Thursday morning from 8:30-9:30. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Michael Church at 10. Burial will follow in East Lawn Cemetery, 58 River St. East Haven.
