Mr. James “Bobby” Evern Johnson son of the late Mr. John H. Black and the late Mrs. Eva Mae Smith was on March 11, 1942, in Robeson County, NC. He departed this earthly life to eternal rest on February 03, 2018 at home in Princeton ,NC. James was educated in Robeson County school system and worked for The Town of Red Springs until he retired in 2010. James enjoyed being outside doing the things he loved working on vehicles, gardening, fishing and hunting. James lived a wonderful life with his wife of 50 years and his family. He loved having his family around him. He was a member of the Trustee Board at Prospect A.M.E. Zion Church Shannon, NC. Mr. James “Bobby” Evern Johnson son of the late Mr. John H. Three sons: James Black of Winston Salem, NC, Rodney Pratt(Toni) of Riverdale, GA and Mark Johnson (Twana) of Princeton, NC. Nine daughters: one of who proceeded him in death Annie King, Deborah Walker (Roland) of Morrow, GA, Brenda McRae (Darryl) and Lisa Harris (Preston) both of Fayetteville, NC, Janet Robinson and Terri Johnson both of Winston Salem, NC, Joann Geary (Clint) of Ridgeway, VA, Valerie McBryde (Prentice) and Jasmine Smith (Mark) both of Raeford, NC. Thirty-four grandchildren and forty-one great grandchildren, host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Two brothers: Johnny Johnson of Brooklyn, NY and Darrel Black (Barbara) of Austin, TX. Two sisters: Margaret Bethea (Henry) and Annie Hayes of Roanoke, VA. Three brother-n-laws: Conrad Groves (Linda) of Smithfield, NC, Ricky Groves of Butner, NC and Fontell Groves of Petersburg, VA. Four sister-n-laws: Margaret Woodard (Charles), Anna Smith and Joyce Session (Donzell) of Smithfield, NC, Debra Pettiway (John) of Selma, NC and Joyce Allison of Lexington, NC. One uncle: Marvin Williams of Red Springs, NC and a host of other relatives and friends Funeral service will be 11:00 AM, Saturday, February 10, 2018 at St. Joseph Miracle Revival Center in Red Springs.
