O B I T U A R Y Mr. David Franklin Calhoun of Green County, Kentucky, son of the late Warner "Jack" Morrison Calhoun and Flossie Mae Walker Calhoun, was born on Friday, May 11, 1945 in Green County and departed this life on Saturday, February 3, 2018 at the Taylor Regional Hospital. He was 72 years, 8 months, and 23 days of age. He had made a profession of faith in Christ, was a member of God's House and was a truck driver for over 30 years. Mr. Calhoun was also a veteran having served in the United States Army. He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Carman Calhoun on January 19, 2018 having united in marriage in 1995. Survivors include a son: Tommy McCubbins of Greensburg; a granddaughter: Alexia Marie McCubbins of Greensburg; a brother: Aubrey Calhoun of Greensburg; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law: Regina Calhoun of Greensburg, Tammy and Terry Carman of Buffalo, and Howard Carman of Campbellsville; and a host of other relatives and friends. Mr. Calhoun was also preceded in death by brothers and sisters: Rollin Calhoun, Veachel Calhoun, Carnell Calhoun, Wilkie Lewis, and Willie Shope. ...................................... The funeral services for Mr. David Franklin Calhoun will be conducted at 12:00 Noon, Central Time, Tuesday, February 6, 2018 at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Akin Cemetery in Green County with full military honors conducted by the Marion County Veterans Honor Guard. Bro. Dale Warren officiating. Visitation is requested from 4 P.M. until 8 P.M., Central Time, Monday at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home and after 7 A.M., Tuesday until time of the funeral service.
