Marie Humpert, 101, of Reese, died, early Friday morning, December 11, 2015 at Wellsprings in Frankenmuth. She was born on May 19, 1914 in Saginaw, daughter of the late Frank and Helen (Hintz) DuKavic. She was united in marriage to Raymond Humpert on September 27, 1933 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Saginaw. He predeceased her on May 16, 1972. Mrs. Humpert was a member of St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Reese where she had served as a Eucharistic Minister. She was a member of St. Mary’s Auxiliary and the Catholic Study Club. Marie was an avid reader, artist, pianist and enjoyed baking, cooking and spending time with her family. Surviving are her children and their spouses, Tom (Rosemary) Humpert, Ginny (Irv) DeRoche, Carole (Ron) Brown, Joni Hall, Terry Humpert, grandchildren, Dawn, Scott, Rene, Becky, Sarah, Tim, Karen, Jill, Terri, Lee, Brad, Scott, Nicole, Aaron, Michael, Mitchell, Rae Ann, Stephanie Jenny, Ronn, Tom, Jessie, Lindsey, Tim, Stephanie and several great grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by sons, Ted and Richard Humpert, daughter, Diane Humpert; son-in-law Jack Hall, daughter-in-law Mary Jo Humpert, three brothers and two sisters. The Funeral Liturgy was celebrated at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, December 12, 2015 from St. Elizabeth Catholic Church, Reese. Fr. David Jenuwine officiated.
