Ted Sweetman, 82, of Midland passed peacefully October 20, 2017 at Brittany Manor Nursing Home. Ted was born December 9, 1935 in Midland to Edwin and Hazel Sweetman. He graduated from Bullock Creek High School and worked for the Dow Chemical Company for 40 years as an electrician. Ted is survived by his children: Connie (Mark) Marino of St. Helens, Denice (Tim) Hughes of Hope, Russell (Gwen) Sweetman of Freeland, Mark (Lisa) Sweetman of Auburn, Robin (Dennis) Dice of Midland. He is also survived by his sister Rita Richmond, 18 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren with a new on the way and a great-great grandchild. Ted was preceded in death by his wife of 52 years Frances Sweetman, parents Edwin and Hazel Sweetman, sister Thora March, brother Bob Sweetman and granddaughter Jaime Sweetman. Funeral services will take place at 1 pm Wednesday, October 25, 2017 from the Ware Smith Woolever Funeral Home, 1200 West Wheeler St. with Richard March officiating. Ted’s family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 11 am until the time of service. Cremation to follow with a private memorial for the family will take place at a later date.
