Richard "Rich" L. Postler, age 59, of Hyde Park, loving partner of Manuel Hernandez, passed away September 19, 2023. He is survived by his twin sister, Margaret Postler Porter (Richard); nephews, John Adam Porter and Casey Allen Porter; aunts, Judith Johnson and Marcia Halligan (Tom) and cousins.

Richard grew up in Terrace Park and was a 1982 graduate of Mariemont High School where he developed his love for the arts and theatre. He later graduated Cum Laude from DePauw University in Greencastle, Indiana in 1986 with a degree in Clinical and Physiological Psychology. While attending DePauw University, Richard was a Vice President of the Phi Kappa Psi fraternity, in addition to studying abroad in France. While in France, Richard was an interpreter and taught statistics at an English school at the age of 21.

Upon graduation, Richard had a 32-year career with Proctor & Gamble, including time as Chief Human Resources Officer for various units, retiring in 2018 as Vice President of Global Shared Services and Global Information Technology.

Richard's passion for the arts and theatre led to his involvement and support of the Ensemble Theatre in Over the Rhine. He was a beloved and dedicated member of the Board of Trustees for 20 years. Richard's generosity and innovative thinking has allowed the Ensemble Theatre to thrive in Over the Rhine.

Richard had many interests, including sports, travel, animals, as well as charitable organizations. Most of all, Richard loved his family. He met Manuel in San Juan, Puerto Rico in 2001 and they have been inseparable ever since. Manuel has been by Richard's side for 22 years. In addition to traveling and supporting the arts, together they have sheltered and cared for many animals of all kinds. They created a beautiful home in Hyde Park that was very dear to Richard's heart. Also by Richard's side for the past 59 years was his twin sister, Margaret, who loved him more than life itself. Together they were routinely referred to as "The Power Twins". Richard was a very proud uncle to Adam and Casey and one of their biggest supporters. Richard was taken from us too soon and will be greatly missed by friends and family.

For those wishing to pay their respects, there will be a Celebration of Life to honor Richard at the Ensemble Theatre in Over the Rhine on Sunday, October 29th, 2023 at 5:30 PM. In lieu of flowers, please make memorial donations to the Ensemble Theatre Cincinnati.
