Betsy Wolf Eldridge

Betsy Wolf Eldridge, of Hilliard, Ohio, passed away peacefully in Columbus at The OSU James Cancer Hospital on September 17, 2023, after an April diagnosis with an aggressive form of cancer. She was born February 8, 1962, in Chillicothe, Ohio to the late Charles Wolf and Bonnie Royer Wolf. She is survived by her true-life partner and love of her life, her husband, Roger Eldridge, and her children, Maggie (Alanna) Eldridge and Nicholas Eldridge. Roger and Betsy were married on November 26,1988. Also surviving are her sisters, Barbara (Kevin) Shoemaker of Chillicothe, Ohio, and Valerie (Michael) Schutte of Wilmington, Ohio. She is also survived by Roger's family and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Betsy's love for her family and the joyous times they spent together will forever be remembered. Betsy was a graduate of Bishop Flaget High School and Otterbein College where she received a degree in Psychology. She maintained friendships with many of her high school and college friends. After starting her career at the Ohio Student Loan Commission, where she met Roger, she later worked in education with special needs preschoolers. Like everything Betsy did in life, she had a passion for helping others, especially the children at the schools where she worked. Her smile, laughter, and sense of humor made every occasion fun. She was fiercely loyal to her family and friends. Betsy was resilient and strong through all of life's challenges, and she will be greatly missed by all who were blessed to have known her. The family will receive friends from 6-8pm Thursday, September 21 at O. R. Woodyard Co. Northwest Chapel, 2990 Bethel Road Columbus, Ohio 43220. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 on Friday, September 22, at St. Brendan the Navigator Church, 4475 Dublin Road, Hilliard, Ohio 43026 with inurnment at a later date.
