She was the loving sister to Janet married to Kevin Willoe; aunt to nephews Grant and Colin, and niece Lauren Willoe of North Andover, MA. She captured her passion for life by doing things she loved, whether it be attending: a Taylor Swift concert with Katie, WWE wrestling match with Mike, numerous plays and shows, simple dinner with family and close friends; or sitting at home binge-watching Netflix or reading a good book. She never met a board game she didn’t like; and during her and Mike’s unforgettable 50th birthday celebration, she converted even the greatest skeptics into believers of her favorite decade, the 80s!

Beth adored her daughter Katie and cherished each adventure she had with her and her husband Mike. Beth C. Hella of Groveland, MA passed away at home with family on September 15, 2023. Within Beth resided a deep calm that extracted humor and hope from every situation. A successful leader with an organic smile, Beth proliferated joy, and she elicited infectious good vibes to reveal the better, kinder natures of others. Her compassion and caring way forged many bonds with long-lasting memories for her family and friends that will always be cherished. She was loved by many and will be greatly missed.

Born March 7, 1972 to Marjory “Mardi” and the late Harold Crawford, she was raised in Winchester, MA. Beth leaves behind her best friend and husband of nearly 20 years, Mike Hella, and beloved daughter Katelyn (Katie) of Groveland, MA. who follows in her Mom’s valiant footsteps. The Winchester High School (class of 1990) trips to Russia and Italy ignited her adventurous spirit and inspired her to spend a semester abroad in Sydney while enrolled at Goucher College (Maryland) where she forged lifelong friendships. She swam for the GC Gophers and specialized in distance freestyle, setting a then, new school standard. In 1994, Beth graduated from GC with a Liberal Arts Degree in Education. Distinguished for her countless contributions, Beth received one of the association’s first Lifetime Achievement Awards.

Her meticulous, color-coded calendars and schedules always revolved around family, fur babies (Bella & Ollie), friends, service to her community and of course, fun! No matter how busy her schedule, it never deterred her from helping a person in need! Beth was infamous for finding ways to gather her family and friends together (holiday parties, cookie swaps, winter fire pit gatherings…etc.), spreading her positivity and contagious cheer. She never met a board game she didn’t like; and during her and Mike’s unforgettable 50th birthday celebration, she converted even the greatest skeptics into believers of her favorite decade, the 80s!

Beth adored her daughter Katie and cherished each adventure she had with her and her husband Mike. She looked forward to sharing her summer weekends at the family properties in Alton, NH and York, ME (a home she had just finished designing with her sister Janet).

To further give back to her community, Beth most recently devoted her time to fundraising for the Fairy House Festival at Veasey Memorial Park down the street from her home.
