Patricia Kaye Shuman

<p>Ms. Patricia Kaye Milton Shuman was born on February 18, 1947, in Savannah Georgia to the late Dolphus and Iris Milton. Patricia was educated in the public schools of Chatham County. She was a “1964” graduate of Sophronia M. Tompkins High School. She was a 1968 graduate of (Savannah State College) now Savannah State University where she received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration. </p><p>&nbsp; </p><p>Following graduation, Patricia moved to Brooklyn, New York and lived with her uncle, Benjamin Robinson, who also preceded her in death. While in New York, she worked as a social worker. In 1969, Patricia married the love of her life, Isaac Shuman, Sr. in New York. </p><p>&nbsp; </p><p>Patricia and Isaac relocated to Savannah, and from that union, one child was born, Tracey&nbsp; </p><p>Letisha Shuman. Patricia also acquired five other children Shirley Williams, JoAnne Jones, Isaac Shuman, Jr., Nehemiah Shuman, Sr. and Carl Shuman, Sr. </p><p>&nbsp; </p><p>Patricia was employed as a cashier at Sheffield’s Market located in Liberty City while obtaining her degree from Savannah State. After returning from New York, Patricia worked as a Cost Clerk at Union Camp (International Paper) for 32 years. She was a Board Member at the Progressive Recreational Center and a instrumental part of the Rebuilding Committee. </p><p>&nbsp; </p><p>Rev. Jeremiah Benton baptized Patricia at Tremont Temple Missionary Baptist Church at an early age; she remained a faithful member until her death. </p><p>&nbsp; </p><p>Patricia gained her heavenly wings on Sunday, September 17, 2023, at Pruitt Nursing Home. She was preceded in death by her two brothers Dolphus Milton, Jr. and Arthur Milton. </p><p>&nbsp; </p><p>She leaves to cherish all her memories: daughter, Tracey Shuman, 6 grandchildren; Shaunte’ Williams, Patrick Lightfoot, Sr., Tory Shuman, Sr., (Ashli); Sakerra Perkins, (D’Angelo), Jamari Shuman, Jarquez Shuman, 9 great grandchildren; Patrick Lightfoot, Jr., Patriana Lightfoot, D’Von Lightfoot, D’Anni Lightfoot, Artricia Williams, Tory Shuman, Jr., Aniyah Shuman, Aubrianna Shuman and Tyrek Shuman; sister Tanya Milton-Thomas (Walter); two special nieces, Mesha Robinson (Thadeus), Tawana Mebane (George) and a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. </p><p>&nbsp; </p><p>“I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.” </p><p>2 Timothy 4:7 </p><p>&nbsp; </p><p>“Patricia Shuman was known for taking One Pickle and sharing it with 5 people and still have a piece for herself.” </p><p>Celebration of Life Services will be held 11:00 am Monday September 25th, 2023, at Tremont Temple Missionary Baptist Church, 1110 MLK,Jr. Blvd. Interment Magnolia Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
