Sharon (Fry) Owen, 71, of Evansville, Indiana. She passed on Monday, September 18, 2023 at Linda White Hospice House. Sharon was born in Evansville on July 29, 1952 to the late Jessie (Combs) and George Fry.

Sharon graduated from Bosse High School and worked as an Administrative/ Receptionist for many years. She then retired to care for both her mother and husband at the end of their lives. Sharon enjoyed gardening, reading, taking care of animals, and spending time with her three grandchildren.

Sharon is survived by her daughter, Jessie Smith (Steven) of Evansville, IN; her three grandchildren, Emmett, Henry, and Sullivan; her sister, Kathleen Hollenbacher of Evansville, IN; her brother, Eric Fry of Evansville, IN; sisters-in-law, Kim Fry and Marsha Swain both of Evansville, IN; and brother-in-law, Dwight Owen (Becky) of Evansville, IN; nieces, Lindsey Fry (Nate) of Los Angeles, CA, Lauren Owen of Chicago, IL, Megan Riley (Evan) of Evansville, IN, and Heather Beasley (Zach) of West Lafayette, IN; and nephews, Colin Fry of Evansville, IN, Adam Hollenbacher (Michelle) of Evansville, IN, Bradley Owen (Brittany) of Evansville, IN, Andy Owen (Julie), and Greg Smith both of Louisville, KY; and many great-nieces and nephews.

Sharon was preceded in death by her husband, Brian Owen; and by her parents.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm on Thursday, September 21, 2023 at Browning Funeral Home, 738 Diamond Ave., Evansville, IN 47711 with Pastor Steve Clayton officiating.

Friends may visit from 12:00 noon until service time on Thursday at the funeral home.
