Joginder K Aneja

Our beloved Mother, Mrs Joginder K Aneja passed away on September 15, 2023 at the age of 92.

Joginder Kaur was born in Sargodha, Punjab on October 10, 1930. She did her schooling and college education in Ambala, Haryana and moved to New Delhi after her marriage to Mr. Amar S Aneja. After decades of raising her kids and grandkids in India, she immigrated to the USA with her husband in 1985 and started a new chapter in a new country at the age of 55.

As the daughter of an established lawyer, she was well read and kept herself informed of current affairs. She loved watching TV and movies - from American day-time soaps and game shows to contemporary Bollywood movies.

As a successful homemaker, she was a role model who respected the value of money and hard work. Family was at the center of everything she did, and she juggled her many roles: being a responsible daughter and sister, devoted wife, and a doting mother and grandmother. She would love cooking delicious meals for the family, making sure no one went unfed. And she was an exceptionally meticulous thinker and planner, leaving no stone unturned when planning family events.

She was a pillar of support for the family. She loved fiercely and unapologetically and always put others’ needs in front of her own.

Her warm, sincere smile and kind heart touched the lives of all she knew. She was very close to her sisters and brother. She is survived by her son and daughter, 4 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.

She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
