Macey Benee NovoGradac, beloved daughter, sister, and friend, passed away Saturday August 26th, 2023.
Macey leaves behind a precious 5-year-old son, River, grieving parents Chad Hoyer and Kara NovoGradac, four younger sisters Morgan Brown, Madison Bailey, Emily Hoyer and Reagan Hoyer and one younger brother, C.J. Hoyer and many more family and friends. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents Michael and Katherine (Hodge) NovoGradac and a built-in best friend/cousin Matthew Gilmore.
Macey, she’s the most interesting man in the world. Extremely competitive, and fiery, with the innate desire to travel. A puzzle master and craft expert with a profound infatuation for birds and mushrooms.
She possessed a vulgar sense of humor that everyone enjoyed. If she ever met a stranger, it didn’t stay that way for long. No one ever felt alone around Macey, as she carried the burden of having a big heart,
she felt every emotion, all the pain of those around her, and mourned with you. Macey was a firm believer in suffering in solidarity.
Insatiable to her core, Macey was always looking for the next best thing. That all ended when she had River, and she finally found it- her best thing. He was the “thing” that made her most alive, her best friend, her world, her little sweet potato.
She was immensely over the top nevertheless the most down to earth person. She never tried to be cool she just was. Being the oldest of six siblings, she always did everything first. Always taking control, Macey’s magnetic energy was the glue that held everyone together. She wanted to feel and fix everyone’s emotions, and protect everyone from everything, no matter what kind of pain she was going through.
We see her in River today, and always. So much style, humor, and independence. The fear of missing out. Our fear of missing out on her, however, will not keep us from sharing her endless love to him and the world. With this promise, she truly will never cease existing.
