Ronald L. Pacha

Ronald L. Pacha age 77 of Bloomington, IL passed away peacefully with his family by his side at 2:40 PM on Tuesday, January 16, 2018 at his residence. His memorial Mass will be 12:00 PM on Saturday, January 20, 2018 at Historic St. Patrick Catholic Church, 1209 W. Locust St. Bloomington, IL. Fr. Jeffrey Stirniman will be officiating. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM at the church. Everyone is invited to a luncheon at the church parish hall following the service. Private family inurnment will be at Evergreen Memorial Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Bloomington, IL or the Normal Rotary Club. Arrangements are being handled by Calvert & Metzler Memorial Home, Bloomington, IL. Ron was born September 16, 1940 in Brighton, Iowa the son of Leonard and Margaret Pauly Pacha. He married Janice R. Deutsch on July 1, 1961 in Pleasant Plain, Iowa. She survives. Also surviving are his 3 children: Terri (David) Ashley, Bloomington, IL, Ken (Christie) Pacha, Normal, IL, Angela (David) Auth, Bloomington, IL, 6 grandchildren: Zachary (Jilliann) Pacha, Downs, IL, Hilary Pacha, Normal, IL, Christopher (Amanda) Ashley, Troy, Michigan Joshua (Alexis Bealer) Ashley, San Jose, CA, Allyson (fiancé, Joey Clanton) Auth, Ave Maria, FL, and Brandon Auth, Bloomington, IL, 3 great-grandchildren: Austin & Avery Pacha, Downs, IL, Elijah Pacha, Normal, IL, and other family: Lisa Pacha-Hardesty, and 9 brothers & sisters. Ron is preceded in death by his parents. Ron was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Bloomington, IL, he served on the parish council and as a cantor at his church. Ron was a 4th degree member of the Knights of Columbus. He worked at Citizens Savings & Loan, was a member of the Normal Rotary Club, the Young Men’s Club, the Optimist Club, served on the Normal Chamber of Commerce, and was a Trustee for Normal Township. He was a “die hard” Chicago Cubs and Bears Fan. In his retirement Ron enjoyed spending his time with his family and attending all of their activities and events.
