Melba Earlene Carter

Melba Earlene Carter, 89, of Harrah, OK., our beloved Mother, passed away on November 3, 2017 in Shawnee, OK. She was born in Monroe, OK.on October 5, 1928 to William Haskell Reed and Beulah Emma (Cain) Reed. She is survived by one son, John Carter and his wife Teresa of Harrah, OK; three daughters, Linda Hill of Tecumseh, Brenda Johnson of Harrah and Cheryl Trent and her husband Danny of Harrah; 11 grandchildren and many Great-Grandchildren. Melba is preceded in death by her parents, her husband John Carter, one brother, Sonny Reed and one sister, Katheryn Crouch, Son-in-law Lee Hill and two granddaughters, Sheri Lochner and Tina Beardon. Funeral services will be held 1:00 P.M. Tuesday Nov. 7, 2017 at Asa Smith Memorial Chapel in Harrah, with interment to follow at Memory Lane Cemetery in Harrah.
