Charles K Shomo Obituary
Charles K. “Chip” Shomo, surrounded by the family he loved, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 6th , 2023. He was born to Charles E. and Mary M. Shomo on September 20th, 1956.
His greatest enjoyments were family, friends, pinochle, Colts, IU basketball; and of course, fishing. Chip was an avid fisherman whose skills resulted in numerous tournament wins; he’d even enjoyed the opportunity to fish in Norway with one of his dearest friends. Rain or shine, every day was a good day for fishing.
Chip is survived by his wife, Laurie, son Cameron and daughter Autumn (Grant) Mangan, his mother Mary Shomo, brothers, Scott Shomo and Terry Shomo, sisters, Lori (Dave) Lehman, Lynn (Terry) Brutton, Lisa Smith, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Chip was preceded in death by his father Charles “Charlie” Shomo.
A Celebration of Life will be held on August 27th from 1-4 at Legion 47, 601 Reed Rd.
Preferred memorials are donations/gifts to Cass House or Dsani (Down Syndrome Association of NE Indiana)
