James A. Nottingham, 53, of Macon, IL passed away on Tuesday, March 22, 2016 at St. Mary’s Hospital. A memorial service to celebrate Jim’s life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, March 28, 2016 at New Life Tabernacle, Macon with Pastor Eric Ginder officiating. The family will receive friends for a time of visitation from 1:00-2:00 p.m. on Monday at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to Jim’s family. Dawson & Wikoff Funeral Home, Macon is assisting the family with arrangements. Jim was born on September 9, 1962 in Decatur, IL. He was a correction officer with Macon County and served as a sergeant with Dewitt County Corrections. Jim loved his work in law enforcement. He married Patricia A. Cunningham on March 14, 1986 in Macon, IL. Jim was a member of New Life Tabernacle and enjoyed working and playing games on his computer. Jim is survived by his wife: Patricia A. Nottingham of Macon, IL; father: Charles L. (M. Joann) Nottingham of Bloomington, IL; mother: Alice N. Reynolds of Decatur, IL; daughters: Kristy A. Krietemeyer and Brianna R. Lacy and her fiancé Robert D. Garrett; grandson: Joseph D. Krietemeyer; brother: Leonard E. Reynolds of Decatur, IL; sisters: Elizabeth A. Locke of Macon, IL, Dawn M. (Joe) Engle of Decatur, IL and Penny (Craig) Culp of Bloomington, IL; nephews: Charles D. Crist, Dalton D. Cunningham, Chuck Smith, Brian Oros, Matthew Culp, Colton J. Engle and Skyler D. Prahl; nieces: Breanna L. Cunningham, Amanda Hopper and Kaitlin Culp; great nephews: Cameron J. Dean, Jakob Hopper, Colton and Ethan Prahl; great nieces: Hayden L. Crist and Linnea Oros; sisters-in-law: Barb L. Crist (Kelly Hiter) of Macon, IL and Jill (Bob) Prahl of Champaign, IL; brother-in-law: Richard D. (Shannon) Cunningham of Champaign, IL; special aunts: Paulette Harper of Decatur, IL and Lucille McDonald of Macon, IL; a host of aunts, uncles and cousins also survive; granddog: Jasmine. He was preceded in death by his step-father: Leonard F. Reynolds, grandparents: Delbert H. and M. Juanita Betzer, Edward N. and Elizabeth J. Nottingham, uncles: Harold Noe, D. Neal Betzer, Thomas D.
