Clorena Mae Nagel Obituary

Clorena Mae Nagel, age 82, of Hollister, Missouri, passed away at 7:15 a.m. on Thursday, July 27, 2023, at Point Lookout Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Hollister, Missouri. She was born September 22, 1940, in Lawrence County, Missouri, the daughter of Leo and Anna (Botts) Elkins.


Clorena was employed as a housekeeper for the Missouri Rehabilitation Center in Mt. Vernon, Missouri. She was a member of the VFW Auxiliary in Rockaway Beach, Missouri and of the Christian faith.


Clorena married Eugene Whittenburg, and he preceded her in death on April 29, 1985. She married Floyd Clifford Nagel, and he preceded her in death on May 10, 1995.


Clorena is survived by her son, Eugene Whittenburg and Mary Ryffel of Rockaway Beach, Missouri; one daughter, Vickie Masters of Freistatt, Missouri; one sister, Faye Brown, of Willard, Missouri; five grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.


Clorena was preceded in death by her parents, Leo, and Anna; one brother, Dean Elkins; an infant brother and sister and one grandson.


A graveside service under the direction of the Morris-Leiman-Mosher Funeral Home in Miller, Missouri, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 15, 2023, at the Misemer Cemetery, east of Miller, Missouri.
