<p>Rose Joanne Mendola Carparelli, 97, of East Meadow, NY entered into eternal life on July 12,</p><p>2023. She was born on June 27, 1926 in Rochester, NY to Michael Mendola and Catherine</p><p>Lachiusa. As a young woman, Rose worked in the offices of Bonds Menswear, where she met</p><p>her devoted husband, Aldo Carparelli. After starting a family, she dedicated her life to raising</p><p>their 3 children. In 1973, they moved to East Meadow on Long Island, New York, where she</p><p>lived out the rest of her life.</p><p><br></p><p>Rose was a devout Catholic; she attended Mass daily for most of her life. She loved cooking,</p><p>baking and Sunday dinner was the highlight of the week. Her favorite color was red, and it</p><p>showed in the accents in her kitchen. She also loved chocolate! She enjoyed watching Yankee</p><p>games, the US Open, and following her favorite tennis players. She enjoyed music, dancing, and</p><p>walks on the boardwalk at Jones Beach. She also enjoyed her pool, yard, flowers, and spent a lot</p><p>of time in her garden. In later years, she enjoyed cooking with her husband, and trying new</p><p>recipes was a great hobby of hers. Her main focus was spending time with all of her</p><p>grandchildren, who brought her the most joy and happiness.</p><p><br></p><p>In addition to her mother and father, she is preceded in death by her husband Aldo Carparelli and</p><p>her sister Carmela Mendola.</p><p><br></p><p>She leaves behind, to cherish her memory, her son, John Carparelli, daughters, Lucy Jensen</p><p>(Peter) and Catherine Oliver (Jorge), and grandchildren, Peter Jensen (Jessica), Josef Oliver</p><p>(Carlie), Austin Jensen, Mark Oliver, Jason Oliver, and great grandsons, Luke and Jack Jensen.</p><p>She also leaves behind her devoted sister, Lillian Vullo (Tom), numerous nieces and nephews,</p><p>cousins, extended family members and friends.</p><p><br></p><p>Rose’s family will receive family and friends from 2 - 4pm and 7 - 9pm on Sunday, July 16 at the</p><p>Clair S. Bartholomew Funeral Home 302 Bedford Avenue, Bellmore, NY 11710</p><p><br></p><p>Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, July 17 at 10am at St Raphael’s Catholic</p><p>Church 600 Newbridge Road, East Meadow, NY 11554</p><p><br></p><p>Entombment will follow at St Charles Cemetery, Farmingdale</p><p><br></p><p>In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in her name be made to St. Jude Children's</p><p>Hospital or St. Raphael’s Church, East Meadow, NY</p><p><br></p><p><br></p>

Obituary

Rose Joanne Mendola Carparelli, 97, of East Meadow, NY entered into eternal life on July 12,

2023. She was born on June 27, 1926 in Rochester, NY to Michael Mendola and Catherine

Lachiusa. As a young woman, Rose worked in the offices of Bonds Menswear, where she met

her devoted husband, Aldo Carparelli. After starting a family, she dedicated her life to raising

their 3 children. In 1973, they moved to East Meadow on Long Island, New York, where she

lived out the rest of her life.


Rose was a devout Catholic; she attended Mass daily for most of her life. She loved cooking,

baking and Sunday dinner was the highlight of the week. Her favorite color was red, and it

showed in the accents in her kitchen. She also loved chocolate! She enjoyed watching Yankee

games, the US Open, and following her favorite tennis players. She enjoyed music, dancing, and

walks on the boardwalk at Jones Beach. She also enjoyed her pool, yard, flowers, and spent a lot

of time in her garden. In later years, she enjoyed cooking with her husband, and trying new
