HIGH POINT – Linda Brown Plummer, 80, went to her heavenly home on Monday, July 10, 2023.

The funeral service will be conducted at 3 p.m. on Saturday, July 15, 2023 at Grace Baptist Church. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will will receive friends from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Friday at Colonial Funeral Home in Madison.

Mrs. Plummer was born on July 26, 1942 in New Hanover County, North Carolina to the late Dennis Andrew Brown and Marie Bradshaw Brown. Along with her late husband, Robert, they faithfully served as a missionaries under appointment by the IMB to the Dominican Republic in 1985 and to Trinidad and Tobago before retirement in 2006. She was also an active contributor of the Woman’s Missionary Union of North Carolina.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Reverend Robert Junior Plummer; daughter, Regina Plummer Justus and sister, Mary Evelyn Wells.

Survivors include her daughter, Denise Plummer Sexton (Martin) of High Point; grandchildren, Melinda Sexton Collins (Jason) of Greensboro, Elizabeth Sexton Shumate (Darren) of North Wilkesboro and Andrew Martin Sexton of High Point and great-granddaughter, Hartley Marie Collins.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Grace Baptist Church, 3097 US Highway 311, Madison, NC 27025 and/or the International Mission Board, 3806 Monument Ave., Richmond, VA 23230.
