<p>&nbsp; &nbsp;Lawrence Mitchell Sherwin (Swierczynski), 80, passed peacefully on June 17, 2023 with his favorite child&nbsp;by his side. He left us to join the love of his life, Marian (nee) Guziel.&nbsp;</p><p><br></p><p>&nbsp; &nbsp;Larry was born July 3rd, 1942 as the&nbsp;second son of Marion Matthew and Irene Wanda.&nbsp;</p><p><br></p><p>&nbsp; &nbsp;Larry is survived by Catherine (David) Haener,&nbsp;Christopher (Deborah) Sherwin, James (Brandi) Sherwin and Stacey (Michael) Wojahn, grandchildren,&nbsp;Christopher (Emily), Xavier, Kristina, Karah and Garrett. Lawrence was preceded in death by older</p><p>brother Jerome and is survived by Terrance (Dee) and Barbara (Daniel) Vincent along with many loving&nbsp;family members and caring friends.</p><p><br></p><p>&nbsp; &nbsp;Larry’s passion was teaching. From science teacher at St. Ferdinand’s to Counselor and Case Manager&nbsp;for the Chicago Inner City School system, he lived to help young children become great adults. He&nbsp;coached football and wrestling and he was a professional spectator for his grandchildren.&nbsp;Larry had a great smile and a bad Dad joke for every occasion. He will be greatly missed!</p><p><br></p><p>&nbsp; &nbsp;Larry requested a celebration of life be held in his honor as opposed to traditional funeral services. The&nbsp;family is planning a private service at a later date.</p><p><br></p><p>&nbsp; &nbsp;In lieu of flowers the family of Larry Sherwin would like donations in his name be made to Boys Town</p><p>https://support.boystown.org/.</p>
