Lawrence Sherwin
<p> Lawrence Mitchell Sherwin (Swierczynski), 80, passed peacefully on June 17, 2023 with his favorite child by his side. He left us to join the love of his life, Marian (nee) Guziel. </p><p><br></p><p> Larry was born July 3rd, 1942 as the second son of Marion Matthew and Irene Wanda. </p><p><br></p><p> Larry is survived by Catherine (David) Haener, Christopher (Deborah) Sherwin, James (Brandi) Sherwin and Stacey (Michael) Wojahn, grandchildren, Christopher (Emily), Xavier, Kristina, Karah and Garrett. Lawrence was preceded in death by older</p><p>brother Jerome and is survived by Terrance (Dee) and Barbara (Daniel) Vincent along with many loving family members and caring friends.</p><p><br></p><p> Larry’s passion was teaching. From science teacher at St. Ferdinand’s to Counselor and Case Manager for the Chicago Inner City School system, he lived to help young children become great adults. He coached football and wrestling and he was a professional spectator for his grandchildren. Larry had a great smile and a bad Dad joke for every occasion. He will be greatly missed!</p><p><br></p><p> Larry requested a celebration of life be held in his honor as opposed to traditional funeral services.
