Kenneth D. Fink, age 84, passed away on Sunday, April 23, 2023 in Santa Barbara, California.
He was born on January 18, 1939 in Arlington, Ohio to the late Theron W. and Viola P. (Kanable) Fink. He was a 1957 graduate of Arlington High School and was a 1961 graduate of Ohio University in Athens, Ohio. He started his career teaching high school math. He lived in Santa Barbara, California for most of his adult life and concluded his career at the Santa Barbara County welfare and probate departments and retired in 1991.
Surviving are sisters Ruth Warner of St. Marys, OH; Rema MacDonald of Stillwater, MN; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by sister Dorothy Grohoske; brother Raymond Bradley; brothers-in-law Thomas Grohoske, Vernon Warner, and Angus MacDonald; and nephew Steve Grohoske.
Ken was a member of the American Daffodil Society, and developed several daffodil cultivars which are registered with the ADS. He considered his daffodil contributions to be his gift to the world.
