Dwight Hamman, age 82 went to heaven on May 25th, 2023. He left behind his sweetheart of 70 years, Norma (Smith) Hamman (his Norma Jean). He is also survived by his children:

Kevin Hamman (Kaylin McNett), Kellie (John) Bremer, Kent (Sallee) Hamman & Molly (Ted) VandeKoppel. Dwight (Papa) was loved by all his grandchildren: Luke (Evelyn) Bremer, Joshua (Erin) Bremer, Samantha (Steve) Hamman, Sarah (Robbie) Zwalua, Mason Hamman & his great-granddaughter (Amelia Bremer). He will be remembered also as “Uncle Ike '' and “Uncle Ick” by many nieces, nephews. The family will host a Celebration of Life in July.

In the spirit of his many poems over the years (during holidays and all major events of his children), here is a poem written by his “Kellie Sue” to honor the man he was.

We will not say goodbye because we will see you again,

The reunion in heaven will be a celebration with your kin.

You have given Mom such a life of love,

Now we have you to look out for her from above.

You have given your kids lessons in life,

That will be passed along to others - not once but twice.

The grandchildren you leave behind will always remember you,

Because you were always part of their life (even when they were new).

You always saw the good and positive to all who were concerned,

It was like a boomerang of love you received in return.

We all share so many fun memories from times with you,

So we will hold on tight to those - so we do not feel so blue.

While it hurts to no longer have you on earth anymore,

Your spirit is with family and friends who in your name will soar.
