Michael Keith Yochem, age 65, of York, SC passed away on Monday, June 5th, 2023, at home.

The visitation for the family and friends will be held on Thursday, June 8, 2023, from 2:00-3:00 pm at Bratton Funeral Home located at 1455 Filbert Highway, York, SC.  The funeral service will immediately follow in the Bratton Funeral Home Chapel at 3:00 pm with Rev. Jerry Causby officiating.

Michael was born on January 7, 1958, in Newberry, SC. He was the son of the late Bobby Leroy Yochem and Betty Jean Steen Johnson.

The only thing Mike loved more than a day on the lake was time spent with his family. Mike was known for various hobbies whether it be fishing, hunting, playing softball, or riding his motorcycle. However, his greatest hobby and title of all was being a Paw Paw and a Poppy.

Mike is survived by his wife, Catherine Keith Yochem and his children: Michael Yochem (Tonya), Justin Yochem (Erin), and Patrick Burnett (Kari), as well as his sister, Judy Johnson, and his grandchildren, Harleigh Yochem, Luke Yochem, Lane Yochem, Elliot Burnett, and Braylon Burnett.

In addition to his parents, Michael was preceded in death by his sisters, Kathy Yochem and Bobbi Jean Yochem.
