Ada Louise Jones, 85 of York, PA, died at York North Nursing and Rehab Center on June 2, 2023. She was the wife of the late Dwight L. Jones.

Born October 11, 1937 in York, PA, she was the daughter of the late Clayton and Lillian (Gemmill) Berkheimer.

Ada was previously employed as a waitress for the former Moser’s Restaurant in West York. She loved to shop, crochet, spend time with her family and was avid reader.

She is survived by four daughters, Karen Spangler of Greenville, NC, JoAnn Wise of York, PA, Donna Trimmer and her husband Gregory of Frankford, DE and Barbara Cleaver and her husband Lynn of York, PA; a son, Robert Jones and his wife Michelle of Jacobus, PA, twelve grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren and two sisters, Susan Hudson and her husband Curt of New Cumberland, PA and Carol Hemler and her husband Larry of McSherrystown, PA. In addition to her husband and her parents, Ada was also preceded in death by a grandson, Andrew Rexroth, two sons in law, Dennis Spangler and Gareth Wise and three brothers, Lawrence Berkheimer, David Berkheimer and Donald Berkheimer.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 6, 2023 at the Etzweiler-Koller Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 2000 W. Market St. York, PA. A viewing will be held on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Greenmount Cemetery following the service.
