Patsy P. DeRienzo, 77, of Rostraver Township, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Saturday, June 3, 2023. Born in Pittsburgh on July 2, 1945, he was the son of the late Marion "Mutsy" and Mary (Davis) DeRienzo.
Patsy retired from Fisher Body, General Motors Division where he worked in the Tool and Die Department. He enjoyed golfing, fishing, and playing cards at many local clubs. He was a lifetime member of the Naomi Athletic Club and was a member of the Fayette City American Legion and the Fairhope Rod and Gun Club. He proudly and honorably served his country in the US Army and was a Military Policeman overseas in Germany.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Barbara (Simko) DeRienzo.
He is survived by his sons, Patrick DeRienzo (Rachel Mathianas) of Belle Vernon and Matthew DeRienzo of Belle Vernon; siblings, Toni Hepler, Victor DeRienzo and Vicki Sue DeRienzo; as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received on Wednesday, June 7 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in the James C. Stump Funeral Home Inc., 580 Circle Drive, Rostraver Township (724-929-7934) www.jamesstumpfuneralhome.com where a Blessing Service will be held on Thursday, June 8 at 9:30 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. in the Church of St. Anne, 1870 Rostraver Road, Rostraver Township with Rev. David J. Nazimek presiding. Interment, with Military Honors, will follow in Olive Branch Cemetery.
