Eddie Fate Nixon

Eddie Nixon was born in Los Angeles to Fate and Josephine Nixon. Soon thereafter they moved to Wasco. Eddie attended local schools in Wasco and graduated from Wasco Union High School. In 1961 he married the love of his life, Rosemary. They were married 46 years until her passing. Eddie was an excellent automotive mechanic for Central Valley Ford in Wasco early in his career and showed excellent managerial skills and quickly became the General Manager of the Auto Shop. After the dealership sold, Eddie started Central Valley Automotive in the same location, which he operated with Rosemary for many years. Eddie was always interested in seeing his customers satisfied and always went the extra mile to see that happen. Eddie had many interest in life beside work, which usually included family. He loved to hunt and fish any time he had the opportunity. He also loved to cut firewood in his spare time. He enjoyed landscaping and every time he moved to a new location he would transform the yard. Eddie was preceded in death by his parents Fate and Josephine, wife Rosemary, son Gregory and brother-in-law, David Dieter. He is survived by his son Eddie Jr. and wife, Laurie Nixon, daughter Deborah and husband, Jimmy Simpson, daughter Janie Nixon, son Mike Nixon, son Sean and wife, Deanna Nixon, brother Jimmy and wife, DeDe Nixon, sisters Rita and husband, Tom Wolfe, and Kay Dieter. Eddie treasured time with his 20 grandchildren and his 21 great grandchildren. Eddie was well respected in the community and loved by his family, he will be missed! There will be viewing at Peters Funeral Home, 1401 7th Street, Wasco CA, Wednesday, November16, from 5-8 pm. A graveside service will be held at Wasco Memorial Park, 300 Leonard Ave, Wasco CA, at 10:00 am on Thursday, November 17, 2016.
