Julia "Julie" Faye Smith
<p>Julia Faye (Buchanan) Smith, age 73, passed away, Wednesday, May 31, 2023. She was born June 22, 1949 in Oklahoma City, OK to Etta Faye (Leighnor) Buchanan. She grew up in the OKC area and graduated from Choctaw High school. She married the love of her life, Randell Smith on May 17, 1969. She worked as a secretary for Mustang North Middle School before retiring. Julie often volunteered at her church, Chisholm Heights Baptist Church, enjoyed going to garage sales and loved spending time with her grandkids. When asked how she wants to be remembered, Julie said that “I loved my Lord and I loved my family”! Julie was preceded in death by her son Chris Powell-Smith and her mother, Faye. She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Randy, daughter, Angela Dowdell and husband Andy, daughter in law, Michelle Powell-Smith, seven grandchildren, Molly Powell-Smith and fiancé Jacob, Katie Powell-Smith and fiancé Mat, Owen Powell-Smith, Jackson Dowdell and fiancé Olivia, Parker, Fisher and Selena Dowdell, brother George Crawford and wife Lynn, two sisters, Leota Dunn and husband Ben and Toni Ward and husband Ed. A Memorial Service will be held 10:00am, Tuesday, June 13, 2023 at Chisholm Heights Baptist Church, Mustang, Oklahoma.</p>Obituary
