<b>Joseph A. Buffa, age 93, a resident of Naperville, IL for nearly 30 years, was born on October 4, 1923 in Chicago, IL. He passed away peacefully on January 22, 2017 surrounded by the love of his family. Joe is survived by his devoted wife of 73 years, Angeline 'Angie' (nee Serpico) Buffa; his loving daughters, Carol Ann (Donald) Zeedyk and Patricia (John) Marotto; his adored grandchildren, Angela Zeedyk, Jessica Marotto and Jonathan Marotto; his dear sister, Sarah (the late Raymond) Martines; as well as many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his grand-daughter, Susan Zeedyk and his siblings, Rosalie Barry, Phillip, Albert and Frank Buffa and Angeline Ellefsen. A proud veteran of the US Navy, Joe served as a gunner and a cook aboard the USS Hatcreek during World War II. He was employed as an expeditor at Western Electric/AT&T for 35 years. Both Joe and Angie volunteered at Little Friends Serendipity Resale Shop and Pennywise Resale Shoppe for 25 years. He loved to travel, especially with the Naperville Park District group. Above all, Joe cherished the time he spent with his family. He will be deeply missed. </b> <b>Funeral Information</b> Visitation will be Wednesday, January 25, 9:00 until 11:00 AM at the Friedrich-Jones Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 44 S. Mill St., Naperville. A celebration of Joe's life will begin at 11:00 AM at the funeral home. A private family interment will be at Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Hillside, IL.
