Rick Daviscourt (formerly of Seattle) passed into the presence of God on May 31, 2023 in Gravel Switch, Kentucky where he and his family had a farm. He died after battling pancreatic cancer. Rick was raised and worked in the construction industry. During the last 23 years of his life, he dedicated himself to serving our Creator in various countries in Latin America with a special focus on working with the Peruvian legal systems. This purpose was to shelter, raise, and educate some of the government’s rescued children. He worked hard to help give them a beautiful home and upbringing. He was the president and co-founder of Restoring Children International/Restoring Hope International Foundation.
Having graduated from Bishop Blanchet H.S., Rick is survived by his high school sweetheart Mary, to whom he had been happily married for 47 years. Together, they have 3 children: Amy Haddox, Sarah Baugh, and Tim Daviscourt. Combined, they were blessed with 10 grandchildren ranging in age from 19 months to 25 years. He was so proud of them all and loved them very much! He is also survived by his parents, Karl and Barbara Daviscourt, 5 brothers, and countless nieces and nephews.
Rick had a very warm and personable personality. He really liked people. However, when home, Rick enjoyed a quiet and peaceable life with a special focus on his relationship with his Lord and Savior and his family.
