Elder Clemson Anderson Grigley was born on July 22, 1926, in Banford, Alabama to the late Elder John Henderson Grigley and Evangelist Ida Bell Grigley.  The family moved to Indianapolis, Indiana when he was a young child and he completed his primary and secondary education in the Indianapolis Public School  System.

Elder Grigley was reared in a large, loving Christian family.  His father founded the Jerusalem Temple Apostolic Church.  Elder Grigley received the Gift of the Holy Ghost under the pastorate of the late District  Elder James E. Carey.  He served as chairman of the   Deacon Board and Finance Committee.  He also had been a member of the Brotherhood Chorus.  He was an ordained minister of the Pentecostal Assemblies of the World.

Elder Grigley was united in Holy Matrimony to the late Sister Clara Reese Grigley.  Their union spanned over sixty-six years, and to this union was born two daughters.

Elder Grigley was employed for many years by the Indianapolis Star and News.  He retired as a Night Foreman.  He was an honorably discharged World War II veteran having served the United States Army as an electrician in Okinawa.  Over the years he continued doing any electrical work that was needed at his home.

Elder Clemson Anderson Grigley departed this earthly life on Tuesday, May 30, 2023, at the age of ninety-six years, ten months and seven days.

He leaves to cherish his memory two daughters, Carole B. Wilburn and Beverly A. Timberlake; six grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews; other relatives saints and friends; Virginia Maher, special friend to the family.
