<p>Earldean Alice Guthrie, 79, of Oakland (Deep Creek Lake), MD, passed away in her home on Tuesday, May 30, 2023, with her husband by her side, after a brief battle with cancer.</p><p><br></p><p>Born January 26, 1944, in Terra Alta, WV, she was the daughter of the late Elmer and Daisy (Miller) Elliott. She was also preceded in death by two sons, Thomas Campbell and Kenneth Hardesty.</p><p><br></p><p>Mrs. Guthrie worked in housecleaning and was also a CNA. Earldean loved life to the fullest, going fishing and traveling, but most of all she loved spending time with all her family.</p><p><br></p><p>She is survived by her husband, Robert L. Guthrie, whom she has been with for 55 years and married to for 50 years; six children, Melissa (Virgil, Jr.) Ravenscroft, Smithfield, PA; Ronnie (Jamie) Guthrie and Deb (Melvin) Rosenberger, all of Bruceton Mills, WV; Sandra (Jerry) Schrider, Accident, MD; Donna (James) Bendickson, Chillicothe, MO; Terry Roth, Palmyra, PA; two brothers, Bobby Elliott and Elmer Elliott; three sisters, Susan Cox, Mae Tichnell and Jean Friend; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.</p><p><br></p><p>Friends will be received at the Newman Funeral Homes, P.A., 943 Second Ave., Friendsville, MD, on Sunday, June 4, 2023, from 5-7 p.m. Cremation will follow the viewing.</p><p><br></p><p>Condolences may be sent to the family at www.newmanfuneralhomes.com.</p><p><br></p>
