Amy Celeste Brice Burgess was born in Marianna, Pa August 6, 1943, to Arthur Brice and Mary Brice. She moved to Pittsburgh Pa after graduating high school. Her first job in Pittsburgh was being a full-time caregiver to small children. Her second job was working for Blue Cross Blue Shield.

In 1964 Amy met and fell in love with Harold V Burgess. They were married on June 12, 1965. From their 55 yr union came 3 children. 1968-Jacquelyn, 1971-Jennifer and 1976- Harold Jr. She loved being a Wife and a Mother. In 1974 Amy studied the bible with Jehovah's Witnesses

and was very happy to dedicate her life to Jehovah in 1975. She continued to serve Jehovah until her last breath. She also enjoyed traveling with her Husband, Children, son-in-law, and later on grandchildren. Amy ran her own, in-home, daycare for 30 yrs. She enjoyed taking care of the children. And she loved each and every child that came to her daycare like they were her own. Amy loved to cook and loved to see everyone, especially her family, enjoy her cooking and because of that, she had family dinners at least twice a month.

Amy was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Harold, and her sisters: Sarah Helen, Shirley, Mary Ann, Emily, and great-grandson Dacion. She leaves to cherish her memory, daughters: Jacquelyn (Dennis), Jennifer, and son Harold, Jr., grandchildren: Devvon (Janiece), DaLynn, Bryce (Azasha), Denae, Jamier, and Dennis Jr., great-grandchildren: Dezmund, Dru, Jaxen, Destini, and Deja, sisters: Gladys, Carol (Richard) and Karen. Her bonus son Ricky, countless nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. She was known as Mom, Mamal, Meem, and Aunt Amy. She loved every one of those names. We all look forward to seeing Amy again when she will be resurrected. Acts 24:15, John 5: 28-29.
