<p>Andrea Bernarde Principe, 72, formerly of Stamford, CT, passed away on May 30, 2023, after several courageous battles with cancer.</p><p><br></p><p>A beloved daughter, sister, aunt, and great-aunt, she was born to Joseph V. Principe, Sr. and Ruth Horan Principe in Carle Place, NY. After graduating from the College of St. Rose with a degree in English that shaped a lifelong love of literature, Andi surprised her family by joining the U.S. Army where she rose to the rank of Captain. This spirit of adventure and independence followed her entry into the corporate world, where she worked in public relations and human resources for many years. But above all, Andi loved family and friends deeply.</p><p><br></p><p>Andi was preceded in death by her loving parents, older brothers Joseph and Peter, and her sister, Claudia. She is survived by her sister Laurel P. Tria; sisters-in-law Heather Marshall Principe and Jeanne Gerber Principe; nieces Anne Tria Wise (Leo) and Jennifer Wilkes (Jesse); nephews Benjamin Principe (Tori), Matthew Principe (Jeff), Joseph W. Principe (Stephany), and Thomas Tria (Merima Kurdish); their families; many friends and kind neighbors who enriched her life with laughter.</p><p><br></p><p>In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the American Cancer Society or Dress for Success.</p>

A beloved daughter, sister, aunt, and great-aunt, she was born to Joseph V. Principe, Sr. and Ruth Horan Principe in Carle Place, NY.
