Susan Davis, a loving, optimistic, and creative woman, passed away peacefully at her home in Bloomington, IN, on May 30, 2023, just one day before her 83rd birthday. Born on May 31, 1940, in Indianapolis, IN, Susan dedicated her life to her family, her passion for botany, and her many diverse interests.

Susan was fortunate to have discovered her love for botany at a young age. She pursued her passion at Indiana University, where she studied botany and laid the groundwork for a fulfilling and successful career. For 35 years, Susan worked as a botanist, earning numerous accolades and awards for her groundbreaking research and contributions to the field. Her work not only advanced the scientific community's understanding of plants, but it also inspired countless others to explore and appreciate the natural world.

In addition to her professional accomplishments, Susan was a devoted wife and mother. She is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Dwayne; their daughter, Olivia; and their son, Michael. Susan's unwavering love and support for her family served as a guiding light throughout their lives. Her children fondly remember her as a constant source of encouragement, always reminding them of their potential and helping them grow into the caring, successful individuals they are today.

Despite her demanding career, Susan made time to cultivate a wide range of interests and hobbies.
