James Dale Cronin

<p>Jim Cronin, born 12/28/1951, passed away on 5/28/2023. He was with his family when he left us, just as he would have wanted. Jim retired from General Electric (GE) in 2007. He loved his grandchildren and was always at ballgames, tennis matches, plays, awards programs, school programs, and being “PaPa” chauffeur. Jim loved life, his family, golf, and the UK Wildcats.</p><p>He is preceded in death by his Parents Barbara and Jimmie Cronin and Granddaughter Angel Jenkins. He is survived by his wife, Joanie (nee Thomas), children Tony (Elizabeth), Andy (Leslea), and Anita Jenkins (David). Grandchildren Alex, Alyssa Gliessner (Caimen), Alan, Brady, Aiden, Eliza, Cole, and Great-Granddaughter Alaina. Sisters Barb Khorshidian (Ab), Sharon Smith, Rob (Anita), Jeff (Angie) and many nieces and nephews.</p><p>Visitation will be Friday, June 2, 2023 from 2:00 PM – 8:00 PM at Bosse Funeral Home, 1355 Ellison at Barret Avenues, Louisville, KY 40204. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, June 3, 2023 at 11:00 AM at St. Stephen Martyr, 2931 Pindell Avenue at Hess Lane, Louisville, KY 40217 followed by burial at Calvary Cemetery, 1600 Newburg Road, Louisville, KY 40205.</p><p>In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Homeless Coalition of Southern Indiana at soinhomeless.com or P.O. Box 1871 New Albany, IN 47150 or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital at stjude.org.</p><p>Everyone raise a glass of Captain Morgan and Diet Coke on 12/28/2023 as a birthday toast to Jimmy. “Clink!
