<p>Kenneth “Cody” Ray Menefee, a resident of Russellville, Missouri, passed away peacefully on May 29, 2023, at the age of 85. He was born to Thomas and Mable Menefee March 16, 1938, and throughout his life, he exemplified the values instilled in him by his loving parents.</p><p><br></p><p>Cody was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Sharon Menefee, his brothers Paul Menefee and Dean Menefee, and his grandson Brent Menefee. Although their absence left a void in his life, their memories remained close to his heart.</p><p><br></p><p>He is survived by his devoted wife, Dorothy Menefee, his sisters Fern Roberts and Norma Conklin, brother Everett "Buck" Menefee, sister-in-law Francis Thomas, daughter Tracy Menefee, sons Trent Menefee and Todd Menefee (Amy), stepdaughter Debbie Seaver (Jay), stepsons Lyle Jobe (Dana), Karla Jenkins (Paul), and Kendall Jobe. His surviving grandchildren, Ashley Hickenbottom, Heather Voicey, Ross Menefee, Quintin Menefee, and step-grandchildren Jesse Kempker, Jordan Seaver, Shelby Harrison, Kendra Gerloff, Abby Jobe, Brooke Jenkins, and Tabitha Miller were a source of joy and inspiration to him. He is also survived by many wonderful great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.</p><p><br></p><p> Cody’s strong work ethic and dedication to his craft as an over-the-road truck driver led him on many journeys throughout his career. Cody's hard work allowed him to provide for his family and create a life filled with love and cherished memories.</p><p><br></p><p> In his well-deserved retirement, Cody and his wife Dorothy owned and operated a florist shop named Baskets and Bows at the Lake of the Ozarks.</p><p><br></p><p> Cody's hands were always ready to help others, and his skill for fixing things was unmatched. He derived great joy from lending a helping hand to his family and friends, willingly taking on any project that came his way. His generosity, kindness, and dedication to his loved ones will forever be treasured.</p><p><br></p><p> Cody leaves behind a legacy of love, hard work, and selflessness. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him. May his soul find eternal peace, and may his family and friends find comfort in the cherished memories they shared together.</p><p><br></p><p>Memorial service will be held on Friday, June 2 at Southside Christian Church, 2100 Lakeview Rd., Mexico, Mo 65265. Visitation from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. followed by service and graveside prayer at East Lawn Memorial Park.</p>
