Doris Ruby Rubbelke Obituary

 

  Doris Ruby Rubbelke, of Medicine Hat, Alberta, formerly of Burstall, Saskatchewan, beloved wife of Norman Rubbelke, passed away on May 29, 2023 at the age of 84years.  She will be deeply missed by her husband as well as her loving children, Dawna Marriott (Dave), Tracy James (Doug), NJ Brown (Steve), Shane Rubbelke (Khloe),  Jolie Neigum (Les). She was also the proud grandmother of 14  grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.  Doris is survived by her siblings, Alvin Ruff, Les Ruff, Rita Lippert, sister-in-law, Jay Ruff, and predeceased by her parents, Alfred and Frieda Ruff, and brother Elroy Ruff.  Born December 13, 1938, in Leader, Saskatchewan, she spent the vast majority of her life in the Burstall area.  She worked at the Empress gas plants for 28 years.  Doris proudly displayed a lifelong commitment to her Lutheran faith, serving in numerous capacities up to the time of her passing. She enjoyed gardening, crafting, sewing, reading, puzzling, playing cards, camping, fishing, and long drives to search out all forms of wildlife.  Some of her favourite things included her animal collections, her porcelain dolls, her crafts, and - most importantly - her family.   A Celebration of Life will be held in the PATTISON CHAPEL on Saturday, June 3, 2023 at 1:00 p.m.  with Reverend  Pastor Shane Hein officiating.  The service will be live streamed.  Those who wish to attend virtually, please visit pattisonfuneralhome.com and select live streaming, then select the youtube (arrow).   If you wish to watch the recording of the funreal service, please click on the blue video tribute button below.
