Dan Epperson

Mr. Dan Epperson, Jr. age 91 of Brodhead, Ky., departed this life Tuesday, May 30, 2023, at Rockcastle Health and Rehabilitation in Brodhead, Ky.

He was born on August 23, 1931, in Barbourville, Ky., a son of the late Dan Epperson, Sr. and Sudie Messer Epperson.  Dan was an entrepreneur having owned and operated his own Store for many years.  He was of the Baptist faith and found great joy in carpentry and auto mechanics.  Dan proudly served his country in the US Armed Forces. On September 30, 1995, he was united in holy matrimony to Ruby Saylor, and they enjoyed 27 years together.

Those left to celebrate his life are his wife, Ruby Epperson of Brodhead, Ky; His daughter, Sue Paplyk (Nick) of Sevierville, TN, Gerald Epperson of Barbourville, KY; Charles Epperson of Pineville, KY; His stepchildren: Ted Saylor (Mary Ann) of Mt. Vernon, Ky. and Jeffrey Saylor of Killeen, TX.  His Five grandchildren; His seven great grandchildren.  His brother, Henry Epperson (Betty) of Barbourville, Ky; His sister: Bertha Warren (James) of Shelbyville, Ky. And special friend Harold Harper as well as a host of nieces/nephews, friends and neighbors.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers: Grandville, Charley and David; sisters: Florence Brown, Ella Joan Barker and Daffney Epperson, Grandson Jeremy Epperson. Special friend: Richard Carrillo.

Pallbearers: Ted Saylor, Jeffery Saylor, Michael Robinson, Ricky Marshall, Charles Bunch and Ronnie Thompson.
