Obituary
Darwin “Dagwood” Glen Spotted Tail, Sr. was born on July 13, 1961 in Rosebud, SD to Buck and Mordella (Siers) Spotted Tail. Darwin, Sr. made his journey to the Spirit World on May 29, 2023 at the Monument Health Hospital in Rapid City, SD.
Darwin is survived by his children, Precious Fawn (Buddy Jones) Spotted Tail; Stevie Kay (Bud) White Hat, Darwin Spotted Tail, Jr., and Johnny Flores-Spotted Tail; grandchildren, Shania High Pipe, Alonzo West, Amisa Jones Jr., Yamni and Tate’ Ota Semans, Myleigh, Samuel, Taytum, and Xena Lafferty, and Letty Holy Bull, and Chief Spotted Tail; great grandchildren, Kai Martin and Areilla High Pipe; siblings, John (Tamara) Spotted Tail, Wilma Spotted Tail, and Della (Denis Cournoyer) Spotted Tail; hunka family, Marie, Delorse, Bobbi, & Genola Clairmont; step-sisters, Rena, Sherri, and Sandra Knox; and step-brother, Stan Broken Leg.
Darwin was preceded in death by his parents, William Buck Spotted Tail and Mordella Siers-Spotted Tail; son, Jacob Spotted Tail; and brother, Gerald Spotted Tail.
Pallbearers will be Buddy Jones, Bud White Hat, Mike Spotted Tail, Buck Spotted Tail, Mahpiya Means, Dale Means, Jr., Alonzo West, and Gavyn Spotted Tail.

Wake Services: Two night wake services with the first night starting at 4:00 PM, CT, Thursday, June 8, 2023 at his daughter Stevie White Hat residence in North Antelope and the second night wake starting at 12:00 PM, CT, Friday, June 9, 2023 at the Bishop Jones Building in Mission, SD with evening services starting at 7:00 PM, CT followed by Military Roll Call starting at 9:00 PM, CT.
